This is my first!

By Bridget | August 28, 2008

Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?  At my age I thought I would learn to clog before I would ever consider a blog.  But here I am, excited about this new adventure in my life.  This wll be a great space to share with you the experiences I have had as a wife, mother, maw maw, and children’s minister.  All which have taught me a great deal and have brought much joy to my life.  So here we go!  My name is Bridget and I have been  the children’s minister at Victory Christian Fellowship for 10 years.  I have been married to my best friend Bub for almost 31 years.  (Some people say I deserve a medal for that one).  He makes every day of my life interesting.  I could not do what I do in ministry without him beside me.  We have been blessed with 2 daughters and a Beagle.  Erica 30 is married to Elijah and they have given us 2 special gifts.   Our grandbabies!   Jonah is almost 5 and Jarah is almost 4.  There is absolutely nothing like being a maw maw.  It’s the best!  Our other daughter Vanessa 27 is married to Joshua.  Their family consists of 2 cats Buddy Jean and Baxter Bean and a new puppy Baylee Su Mu Poo.  Don’t ask, you just have to know Vanessa.  And then their is Peanut the Beagle.  The thing I love best about her is I can tell her anything and I know she will never tell.  Kinda like Jay Bush, Duke has never divulged the bean recipe.  Both of our girls and their husbands minister in the children’s department, and Peanut has dropped in on occasion. I am so blessed!  Joshua 24:15 says, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  So, throughout the posts ahead I will share with you the things I have learned in all avenues of my life.  My prayer is that I will minister to you in whatever path you are on.  Looking forward to hearing from you!
