Paths in the Woods
By Bridget | January 20, 2009
One of my favorite Bible passages is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” As I read it again today I realized for the first time is says paths, not path. What comfort it gives me to know He cares about every road I’m traveling. Whether it’s wife, mom, maw maw, daughter, sister, minister or friend, as I trust in Him He directs me to be the best I can be with whichever hat I am wearing.
As a child I have fond memories of practically living in the woods behind our home. From sun up to sun down the neighbor kids and I would travel the many paths in the woods. Sometimes with successful results other times with disasterous moments. But know matter the the turn out I always found my way home at the end of the journey. My next few blogs will be about the successes and disasters of the many paths in the woods and how they always led me home again.
